Served as the development lead responsible for configuring and customizing Dynamics 365 (on-premise) as the backend system for a public-facing government grant application portal. The portal, hosted on OpenShift, enables users to submit and manage grant funding applications. The solution was centered around the Case entity, utilizing a streamlined business process flow to track projects and application statuses.
The Dynamics 365 application form was designed to replicate the functionality of the public portal for internal users—ensuring all front-end validations were mirrored within Dynamics. This required extensive form scripting and innovative use of custom entities and relationships to meet complex business requirements.
Additionally, the solution integrated Amazon S3 for document storage. Custom plugins and UI components were developed within Dynamics to allow internal users to upload documents directly to S3. Each uploaded document automatically generated a corresponding record in Dynamics, enabling users to view and download files seamlessly.
